

He was born in Ikot Oko-Okon, Essien Udim - LGA, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria on January 25th,1952, to Chief Ekpenyong & Esther Samuel Udosoro. Friday spent his time in Ikot Oko-Okon. He devoted his time to Qua Iboe Church in Ikot Oko, Okon clan, Essien Udim, LGA with his parents. He also attended school at Qua Iboe Church
Primary School (Primary 1-3) in Ikot Oko and continued at Qua Iboe Church Primary School (primary 4-6) Ikot Ama, Okon Clan LGA, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He continued studying independently and took the GCE ordinary level and advanced level and passed.
After schooling, he never gave up, even enrolling in the Police college at Ikeja, Lagos and became a Nigerian police officer. His original posting was at Shell Petroleum Company, Nigeria Limited as a security officer. He resigned from Shell and later received an opportunity at Blackwood Hodge as a storekeeper and met a beloved friend there, Saturday Ikoro.
Friday looked around his environment and decided that he wanted better future for him and his family, with Edidiong Friday Udoh being the first born in Nigeria during this time. Through encouragement from Saturday Ikoro and from himself, Friday came to the United States on June 13, 1981, for a better future and landed at Central State University in Edmond, OK. Eventually, he brought his wife and son to the states. He found a haven for his family in Edmond, Oklahoma, being First United Methodist Church in Edmond where he attended weekly until physically unable to. Friday was diligent in university and graduated from Central State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
He continued his education and received a master’s degree from Central State University in Marketing. He spent 39 years married to Alice V. Udoikpo (now Udoh) and had three more beautiful children; Ekpedeme, Esther, & Sefon Udoh. During this time, Friday excelled in healthcare, as a radiologic technician and dedicated years of his life to his career and bettering himself through school.
Friday worked hard and enjoyed life more. Friday witnessed his children’s births, their journey through school, and later their college graduation, which was a blessing unto the family. Later in life, Friday and Alice parted ways but were still focused on the betterment of their children.
Later, Friday met and married Victoria Udo and had three adorable children: Samantha, Utibe, and Uduak Udoh. During his retirement, Friday experienced new things, spent time with his family, and went on various trips, to enjoy life and the fruits of his labor, as his children did not disappoint.
Friday was a member of many communities but especially cherished the Nto Annang community along with the Akwa Ibom community in Oklahoma. Friday Samuel Udoh will be extremely missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, his stepmother; Marit Samuel Udosoro, his sister; Late Mrs. Marinah Mboroh Mboroh, his brother-in-law, Mboroh Jumbo Mboroh, four step-siblings, and a host of friends. He was survived by his wife; Victoria Udoh, his children; Edidiong, Ekpedeme, Esther, Sefon, Samantha, Utibe, & Uduak Udoh, and daughter-in-law; Hannah Udoh. He is also survived by his brothers, Sunday & Aniefiok Udoh and many other loved ones.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, December 27, 2025 at First United Methodist Church of Edmond, located at 305 E Hurd Street, Edmond, OK 73034 with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery 13400 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK. Reception will follow the burial lasting until 6:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home 13313 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK.
