James William Jeter, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, son and brother, went to go be with our Lord and Savior, September 20, 2022, at the age of 92, surrounded by his family.
James was born on July 28, 1930 in Birmingham, AL. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years as a dental lab technician. While serving he met the love of his life, Jerri, whom he married on January 20, 1952. He was a devoted Christian man, who loved the Lord. He and Jerri served as members of Meadowood Baptist Church for over 40 years.
James is survived by his wife, Jerri; Daughters, Shari and husband Charles, Jamie, and Janet; Grandchildren, Sherri and husband Jason, Kristy and husband Shannon, Michael and wife Maura, Tara and husband Brent, Nina and husband Brendan, Jeff and wife Dina, Jacquelyn and husband Taylor; 2 step grand-daughters; 25 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; Sisters, Dorothy and Virginia Mae (Bill).
James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Virginia; Sister, Alice (Bob); Brother In-law, Bobbi, and son In-law, Ken.
A funeral service will be held for James on Thursday, September 29th, 2022 at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Ringley, Andrew Ringley, Taylor Peters, Shannon Higdon, Jeff Peak, Brent Pickens, Taylor Smith and Conner Ringley.
