Joshua Michael Ballard

Joshua Michael Ballard, 34, of El Reno, Oklahoma, passed away on May 8, 2026. Born on December 25, 1991, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Josh lived a life centered on faith, compassion, and helping others.

Josh graduated from Guthrie High School and went on to work in maintenance for Glisten in El Reno, Oklahoma. He was known for his hardworking nature and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed.

More than anything, Josh had a deep passion for telling people about Jesus and helping those struggling with substance abuse find support and healing through meetings and encouragement. Above all else, the greatest joy and proudest accomplishment of his life was the birth of his son, Nikolai, whom he loved deeply and spoke of often.

Josh is survived by his son, Nikolai Ballard; his mother, Mary; his father, Derrin; his grandparents, Seldon and Eva Ballard, and Nancy McSmith; his aunt, Theresa Hoffines; and Hien Foell. He is also survived by his uncles, Steve Foell and Dean Hoffines; his cousins, Amy, Julie, Jamy, and Preston McSmith, Anna and John Bruning, and Zach Hoffines; as well as Nathan and Jackie Foell. Additionally, Josh leaves behind many beloved second cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Josh will be remembered for his kind spirit, his faith, and the impact he made on those around him through his encouragement, compassion, and genuine care for others.

A Graveside Service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, US, on May 18, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
