Josie passed away on May 21, 2016 just one day short of her 84th birthday. We are thankful that she is now free of pain and suffering. Josie was born on May 22, 1932 in Norfork, Oklahoma to Charlie and Marie Ramsey. She married James E. Walker on April 29, 1949. They lived in Oklahoma City where they raised their three daughters. Her talents were endless. She was an excellent seamstress, cook, gardener and most of all a loving wife and mother. She worked at TG&Y, Woman’s World and her favorite, J’s Hallmark, which she managed. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband James, her sisters Freda, Mary and Rosie, and her brother Dale. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Betty and Fred Hines of Columbia, Maryland, Marie and Sammy Mayfield of Edmond, Oklahoma, Diana and Donald Hodges of Norman, Oklahoma, grandchildren Brian and wife Nicole and Hillary and 5 great-grandchildren, her sister Maggie and brothers Charlie, Bob, Bill and Sig. Her children would like to thank Grace Living Center and Physician's Choice Hospice for their loving care.
