

Judy Ashford, 73, of Edmond, OK joined her heavenly father on January 22, 2018. Born April 29, 1944 in Birmingham, AL to Noel Russell DuRoss and Elizabeth Ann DuRoss, Judy was known for her generous spirit and bold love of others. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Jerry V Ashford, Sr and her grandson, James Christopher Ashford.
Judy is survived by her four children; Jerry Jr. and his wife Melissa and their three children, Morgan, Zach, and Isabella; Jeff and his wife Lisa and their two children, Josh and Sara; Jason and his wife Brandi and their two children, Faith and Jonathan; and her daughter Jennifer and her two children, Noah and Emma; all of Edmond, OK; Judy’s sister, Shirley Edwards of Memphis, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved greatly.
Judy graduated from Bartlett High School in 1962 and married her forever love, Jerry, in 1963 in Memphis, TN. They came to Oklahoma in 1969. She was a terrific homemaker and helpful in family business whenever needed throughout the years. Judy was very involved in her children’s activities such as baseball, football, and soccer. She always loved to travel and especially enjoyed spending time at Lake Tenkiller. As the grandchildren arrived, she loved attending their choir, orchestra, sports, and school activities. Judy was a long-time member of Newchurch in Oklahoma City.
