Leticia (Leti) graduated from San Jose City High School, and continued her education at St. Catherine Hospital and College and received her registered nurse degree.
She was married to Mark Valois on May 15th, 2011. Leticia was a member of First Baptist Church of Edmond and the Filipino Medical Association.
Leticia was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a caretaker, a mentor, and a friendly neighbor. At the core of the many roles she filled, the most important was a faithful servant to our God in Heaven.
The better part of Leticia’s life, over 40 years, was spent working as a Registered Nurse in the ICU. Outside of work, she found joy and solace in spending time with her children and grandchildren, working in her garden, cooking, traveling with her husband, going to the nail salon, and shopping. She had a beautiful, contagious smile and despite her modest persona, she was quick-witted with an entertaining sense of humor.
Her signature God-given gift to selflessly serve others was shown throughout her life as she never wavered from a nurturing and giving demeanor. Leticia touched the lives of many and will be truly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ildefonso and Benigna Ellazar Ferrer, two brothers, Arsenio Ferrer and Bernardo Ferrer, and former husband William Lancaster.
She was survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Mark, five children Maria Lancaster, Robert Lancaster, Peter (Melinda) Lancaster, Chris (Tina) Lancaster, and Tiffanie (Carson) Hartwig, eleven grandchildren Ahmie, Aspyn, Isabella, Cagan, Robert, Lynkin, Dylan, Kyler, Aiden, Ivy May, and Luca, and three siblings Theodorico Ferrer, Virgilio (Cheryl) Ferrer, and Carmelita (Venancio) Olarte.
A memorial service for Leticia will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Edmond, 1300 E 33rd Street, Edmond. A graveside service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City.
