Margaret went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2020. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Margaret graduated from Putnam City High School in 1948. After high school she went to work for Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator along with her sisters, Martha and Mary. Not long after, she met the love of her life, Donald Louis Boggs.
Margaret and Donald were married at St. Luke’s Methodist Church on August 1, 1954, and took up residence in Oklahoma City where they began their family. Margaret was blessed with three sons: James, Thomas, and Robert. She enjoyed many years of raising her children as a stay-at-home mother and being involved in their activities.
Margaret was blessed to work alongside her husband at the Credit Audit Bureau for a number of years.
Margaret and Donald celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2004 in the company of their children and grandchildren.
Over the years, Margaret was very involved in her church and with the cub scouts as a den mother. She and Donald enjoyed square dancing and camping with the Hoot Owls Camping Club (Margaret loved owls). She was also very involved with the Putnam City High School Alumni Organization.
Margaret’s pastimes included bridge with the bridge club, and dominos and card games of all kinds with the family. She became an expert at sewing clothes for the boys and later sewing clothes for the granddaughters’ dolls. Margaret enjoyed knitting and needle point, which she was great at. Her needle point art work included the Boggs’ Coat of Arms, The Last Supper, and numerous Christmas ornaments that decorated the Boggs’ Christmas tree each year.
Margaret was preceded in death by the love of her life of 63 years, Donald, and leaves behind her three sons and their wives, nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Margaret’s accomplished life was an inspiration to many, and she will be missed by all.
Love you Mom!
