Ginger was born on November 3rd, 1924 in Monon, Indiana to parents Carl and Shirley Chamberlain. In her earlier years, she lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, Canton, Ohio, and Shaker Heights, Ohio before settling in Edmond, OK. She gained her Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University in Indiana and continued her education even further, gaining a Master’s Degree from John Carroll University in Ohio. Obtaining her Master’s Degree was something she was very proud of, and she instilled the importance of education in her family as well.
Ginger had a passion for travel, and this was something she passed on to her children. She liked to go shopping and was an avid gift-giver in this respect. Ginger was an animal lover through and through, helping with organizations for the protection and rights of animals. Ginger also belonged to the Cleveland Skating Club in her time in Ohio.
She liked to listen to music, her favorite being anything from the “Big Band Era”. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards and getting to spend time with her family. She loved food, especially sweets, and also greatly enjoyed going out to dinner with friends and family.
Ginger will be remembered as an intelligent and headstrong woman, who loved and advocated for all animals. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother, who above all else cared for her family.
Ginger is preceded in death by brother Rex Chamberlain of Huntington Beach, CA and the love of her life Joseph A. Buscemi of Rockford, IL.
Ginger is survived by her children, Leslie Buscemi of Manomet, MA, Regan Buscemi-Forrest and husband Joseph of Edmond, OK; 5 Grandchildren Sydney Spiva of Nashville, TN, Taylor Forrest of Edmond, OK, Meredith DeLisle of Plymouth, MA, Michael and Stephen Eddy of Plymouth, MA, and daughter by choice Nicole West; 6 Great-Grandchildren; and many fur babies.
