She devoted her life to serving her kids and her family. Nothing in life was more important to her than her children’s health and happiness. Anybody who came to know Mimi was immediately showered with her kindness and love. She was an exemplary mom an accomplished cook. Her dishes were the most sought after at each event she gracefully hosted.
Mina was born in Tehran, Iran on November 28, 1947 and later moved to the U.S. to be closer to her family.
Mina passed peacefully at the age of 70 on June 18, 2018. Her beautiful life is forever cherished in the lives her 2 daughters, Nikki Henson and Nazak Ghobadi; Son-in-love, Amirhossein Hashemabadi; Granddaughter, Lexie Henson; Brothers, Shamseddin Vessal and Jamal Vessal; and sisters, Gity Vessal, Mariam Mobasser, and Mojgan Vessal; Brother-in-law, Hossein Kaveh; and sisters-in-law, Fariba Atraki, Parvaneh Rashidi; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services are being held on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 at 4:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel at 13313 N. Kelley Ave. Oklahoma City, OK 73131. Burial will immediately follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mina was devoted to her faith and culture. She always lent a helping hand to those in need. She also suffered from severe depression and Bipolar disorder most of her adult life. As such, memorials in her honor may be donated to the following charities that are closest to her heart:
