

Rae Estelle Hostetter Tipps-Baysinger was born December 12, 1935, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Lucille (Walker) and Lewis Hostetter and passed away April 9, 2022, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 86.
Rae Estelle grew up in the Oklahoma City area and lived most of her life there. She attended Classen High School and graduated with the Class of 1954. She married Kenneth Ray Tipps on November 22, 1953. Following Kenneth’s return from the Korean War, he and Rae Estelle established their home in Oklahoma City and had six children together. Their union lasted until Kenneth was electrocuted at the now former Townley’s Dairy in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1979.
On September 1. 2011, Rae Estelle married Clarence Carl Baysinger.
She was a mother to her children, a switchboard operator, threw paper routes for years with her two oldest sons for the Daily Oklahoman, assisted her mother in operating The Fur Shop in Tulsa until its closing and managed an apartment complex in Del City for many years, among her numerous other jobs.
Rae Estelle is survived by her husband, Clarence of the home; 2 sisters, Patricia Everett of Pineville, LA. And Dana Lebold and husband, Larry of Tulsa, OK; 4 sons, Gary Tipps and wife, Jacquelyn, Moore, OK; Ricky Tipps and wife, Valerie, Edmond, OK; Michael Tipps and wife, Dawn, Moore, OK; Kevin Tipps, OKC, OK; 2 daughters, Terri Overstreet and husband, Gary, Moore, OK; Kealli Shamblin St Germaine and husband, Chris, OKC, OK. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Rae Estelle was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Kenneth Tipps; an infant grandson, C .J. Shamblin; a granddaughter, Brittanie Morris; her brothers-in-law, Stephen Everett and Bill Tipps; her parents, Lucille and Lewis Hostetter; grandparents, Raymond and Flora Mae Hostetter.
A Viewing will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, OK, on Wednesday, April 13, from 12:00 pm – 2:20 pm.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery located in Oklahoma City, OK.
