Sachiko “Jeannie” Goble was born in Osaka, Japan in 1933.
She married Claude Briggs, a U.S. Army Medic, and the new couple moved to Illinois to begin their life together. They then lived in Michigan and Louisiana before eventually settling in Oklahoma, where Jeannie raised her family.
Claude preceded her in death, and she later remarried to Ron Goble who brought with him 4 more grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A dedicated mother and grandmother, Jeannie loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also enjoyed cooking, was known for her home-made noodles and was an excellent seamstress.
Jeannie is survived by her daughter: Linda Briggs-Walters and her husband, Todd, of Edmond, Okla.; her five grandchildren: Julie Mullins and her husband, William; Shannon Rowley and her husband, Michael; Wesley Batson and his wife Erika; Rachelle Batson; Quinten Walters; and eight great-grandchildren: Julian, Kadence, Josiah, Kelcie, Caleb, Jasmin, Jazlyn and Chloe.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022 at 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Victory Church Edmond, 1515 N. Kelly Ave.
