Tom was a cowboy by nature. He enjoyed riding horses and working on large ranches up north. After serving his country during the Vietnam War, Tom spent time as a Speleologist (cave exploration) and drove semi rigs and heavy equipment most of his life. His favorite past time was spent with fellow veterans and family. He loved country music, dancing, and singing karaoke. He was a friend to everyone he met.
Tom was preceded in death by both of his parents and two of his brothers, Terry Allen Butts and George Leslie Butts. He leaves behind a daughter, Victoria L Butts, and four brothers; James Fredrick Butts, Gerald Wesley Butts, Andy Lee Butts, and Toney Dewayne Butts.
