Francesca Marchica

Francesca Lodico Marchica, 88, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. She was born in Ioppolo Giancaxio, Sicily, Italy on August 3, 1935, daughter of Concetta Americo and Luigi Lodico. She married Salvatore Marchica on April 12, 1953, they moved to Orlando in 1984. Francesca was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved cooking, gardening and spending time with family. She is survived by her children - Giuseppe (Giuseppa), Rosina (Tony) and Concetta; grandchildren – Anthony (Whitney), Salvatore (Marie Josee), Sonia (Steven), Melissa (Marco), Christopher and Matthew. She had seven great grandchildren – Isabella, Gabriella, Anthony, Jr., Adelina, Simona, Stefano and Luca (and a great grand dog named Lilly).

Visitation (open casket) will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, Florida on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 5pm – 8pm and the Funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1501 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando, Florida 32828 with burial service to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
