It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nora Alcira Ayure de Rosales, a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and pillar of her community, who departed this life peacefully at home with her daughter. Heaven welcomed a truly radiant soul on Thursday, March 27th, 2025. She lived a life anchored in faith, compassion, and unwavering love.
Born on September 25, 1945, in Barranquilla, Colombia, to Raimundo and Ana Ayure. She was a proud Colombian who carried the warmth, strength, and joy of her heritage wherever she went. Raised in the Catholic faith, she attended Catholic school and university, where she developed a deep spiritual foundation that would guide her entire life.
While studying at university in Medellín, she met her husband, Edwin. Their bond led him to her to the United States in 1970, and they were married shortly after on November 27 of that year. Seven years later, on that same day, they welcomed their only child into the world—a moment that forever deepened their joy and purpose. A devoted professional, she served with compassion and excellence as an EKG technician at Florida Hospital North until her retirement. But her true vocation was service—offering her heart, time, and spirit to others. A natural healer, humble in her gifts, she brought comfort and calm to all who knew her.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devout member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, she found deep purpose in her spiritual community, organizing rituals, leading faith groups, and embodying the true essence of service. Her faith wasn’t just something she practiced—it was something she lived. Her love of family, music, and dance brought joy to every gathering. Christmas was her favorite season—she transformed her home into a festive haven, hosting beloved Posadas and wrapping every corner with warmth and wonder. She had a soft voice, but her spirit was mighty. Fiercely organized and deeply compassionate, she gave endlessly and asked for little. She loved fully and faithfully. Her favorite color was red—a reflection of her passion, her heart, and her fire. She poured love into every aspect of her life. Her presence was a blessing and her legacy of love, leadership and light will live on in the countless lives she touched. Though she never saw herself as a healer or leader, to those who knew her, she was both and so much more.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanine Elise Rosales, her granddaughter Juliana Vanessa Gill, and her sister Fanny Esther Ayure. She is reunited in peace with her beloved parents and all those who went before her.
A Catholic Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Saturday April 12th at 12pm, followed by a celebration of life at Sandpiper Glen 62+ Apartments afterwards.
She is remembered with infinite love and gratitude by her family, friends, church community, and all whose lives she touched. Her memory will continue to be a blessing, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved so dearly.
May her memory be eternal, and may her soul rest in the everlasting peace she so faithfully believed in.
