

She was born on January 1, 1919 in Guangdong, China. Having lost her mother at a young age, she was raised by her father alongside an older sister, a younger sister, and a younger brother.
As a young adult, she endured a difficult voyage to Vietnam, where she married Sam Lam. For nearly four decades, she lived happily in Ben Tre, Vietnam in a multigenerational family home, surrounded by numerous relatives and friends.
After the fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War, she and her family members risked everything to escape Vietnam by boat. Surviving a harrowing journey, through the help of American sponsor families, she was welcomed as a refugee in the United States. She lived in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and eventually Florida. She proudly became a U.S. citizen.
She will be remembered with love for gracing everyone with kindness and embracing them with her warm personality. Her gentle nature was matched only by her quiet strength and resilience.
She is survived by her three sons, An (Ly Thi Muoi) Lam, Anh (Van) Lam, and Hon (Thuc Anh) Lam, her three daughters, Mui (Huu) Du, Mindy (Chung) Yang, and Amy Tran, her two step-daughters, Cac Lam, Monik (Ho) Thai, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Sam Lam, she was preceded in death by Lieu Thi Lam, her sister by marriage, and Yen Ni Lam, her beloved granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6 from 2:30-5:30 pm. Funeral services will take place promptly at 8:00 am on Tuesday, May 7.
In keeping with her humble nature, the family does not wish to receive flowers. Kind sentiments and prayers are always welcome.
