Roberta Grace Busby was 85 when she went to meet her Lord and Savior on April 2, 2024. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on October 22, 1938. She moved to Florida with her parents, Leslie J. Swann and Eula M. Swann, when she was 9 years old.
Roberta was a 1956 graduate of Edgewater High School. After graduating from high school, she married Donald Owen Busby Sr., the " boy next door" in June of the same year. They were married for 64 1/2 years until he preceded her in death in 2021.
She was the family historian and an avid photographer. She documented all her children's and grandchildren's activities as well as family gatherings. She also loved to sew, make porcelain dolls and decorate cakes.
She is survived by her children, Donald Owen Busby, Jr., Melissa Grace Busby and John Leslie Busby (Tina), five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two of her grandchildren, Molly Jane Busby and Zachary Delane Busby, were very special to her.
A celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday April 17th at 11 a.m. at Baldwin Fairchild Goldenrod/Winter Park. Her family would love for you to come and share your memories of her with them. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to: Diabetes Association
