July 19, 1979 — June 06, 2025
Ryan Thomas Campbell passed away peacefully, at his home in Orlando, surrounded by his family and friends on June 06, 2025.
Ryan was born and grew up in Bakersfield, California. Being a naturally bright and curious boy, Ryan impressed his teachers with his intellect; he loved to debate and challenge them. But he was never really motivated to do well in school until he transferred to a fine arts magnet school. There he discovered his love for music, studying guitar, singing, poetry, and dance (which wasn’t his strongest skill).
Ryan earned a Master’s in Business Administration, a Single Subject Credential in Mathematics, and a Bachelor’s in Business and Finance.
He was passionate about teaching and believed that every student has the potential to succeed. He strived to create a positive and engaging learning environment that would encourage students to take an active role in their education.
He loved cats and named them after singers/artists/songs MJ (for Michael Jackson), Presley, and Layla. His favorite dessert was carrot cheesecake. He used to say it was the perfect combination of two worlds.
In 2013, Ryan went on vacation to the Dominican Republic. He loved the country and within a month he was hired by the Punta Cana International School to teach mathematics. Two years later, he met his wife, Wanda Campbell. Ryan lived in the DR for a total of 4 years, after which he and Wanda moved to the United States, ultimately settling in Orlando, Florida.
Ryan's presence enriched the lives of everyone who knew him, bringing joy, laughter, and gratitude to the many lives he impacted.
See you in heaven dear Ryan.
Ryan was predeceased by his mother Derinda Kay Browder, his father Thomas Lee Campbell, and his brother Jimmy Cash, all of Bakersfield. Ryan is survived by his wife Wanda, his brother Eric, his sister Stacey; nieces Marisa and Shelby; nephews Kalen, Michael and Sheldon; Cousins Jason, Darren and Shelby.
