Alice Jean Larson, 85, passed away, January 18, 2025 surrounded by her Son Kurt, Daughter Kathryn and Grandson PJ. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date to be scheduled. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hillcrest Covenant Church, 8801 Nall Avenue, Prairie Village, KS 66207.
Mrs. Larson was born July 25, 1939 in Kansas City, KS. She was married to Harold L Larson (Butch), January 9, 1939 – February 14, 2005 for 40 years. When she was first married, she worked as a secretary in multiple insurance companies and financial institutions. She became a stay at home mom after her daughter Kathryn was born. Alice and Kathryn were not only mother and daughter but also best friends. Throughout their lives they enjoyed many activities together such as all the outings they had with Kathryn’s son PJ. She also enjoyed being in her church group ‘Tabatha’ at Hillcrest Covenant Church for many years as well as providing her servant’s heart to many others in the congregation. She also enjoyed going to Shawnee Mission Park with her son Kurt and parking at their marina for hours just relaxing and taking in the scenery and watching all the activities as well as watching the radio controlled airplanes fly and do their maneuvers at their R/C Flying Field.
Survivors include her Son Kurt, Daughter Kathryn, Grandson PJ, Sister Phyllis, Brother David and many beloved nieces and nephews.
