Daniel Charles Mitchell, age 29, of Roeland Park, Kansas passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025. Visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas 66204. Daniel was born on July 24, 1995 in Merriam, Kansas.
Daniel had a brilliant mind and a generous heart. From a young age, he had a love for reading, puzzles, games and legos - always eager to build, solve and explore. Baseball was another early passion, and he cherished playing for his team, the Vipers, as well as cheering on the KC Royals. In high school, he discovered a fascination with robotics, adding another layer to his ever-curious nature. He went on to earn a degree in computer science. His appreciation for music spanned all genres, and his quick wit and infectious humor brought laughter and warmth to every gathering. His presence made ordinary moments special, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Daniel is survived by his parents, David and Leslie Mitchell, and his siblings Lauren, Jacob and Sam Mitchell. He also leaves behind his grandma Ginger and a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
