I was saddened to hear that Dean had passed on.  I had the good fortune to work with Dean back in the ‘good old days’ of Trans World Airlines.   He was one of the most 'unflappable' of the venerable old cadre of 'TWA Red Coats'.  When things were going down the 'toilet' at the airport, I always felt a wave of relief when Dean walked up to handle the irascible crowds.  I knew he could settle them down and keep things under control.  He was a gentleman in every sense of the word, and I’m honored to have known him.

A salute and tribute to dean's memory for service to his country in wartime and  lifelong service to others. It has been said, though the clouds will come our way, always look for the silver lining, and earth has no sorrows that heaven cannot heal.  Deepest sympathy to all of Dean's family. I never actually met your Father but I saw him at the old airport many times.  He seemed to be very comfortable meeting the public and exuded confidence and genuine interest in everyone.  Our sympathy goes out to each of you.  Bill and Mary Lou Ribble

I remember Dean as a gentleman and a true professional.  My husband always had regard for him as well.  He did work more closely with him although I do remember him from my brief career with TWA many years ago.  He will be missed.

Feb.1966 Dean Graves was there as I walked on to my first flight as a TWA Hostess. He was so kind to my mom; he let her walk on to the a/c to see her daughter fly off into her new career. Our family was also QHR parishoners and through the years it was a smile, a hug and shared words with Dean. Now I share a poem with you, one I hold close when it was time to say goodbye to my mom and my sister. I hope it brings you comfort too.
