Everette G. Kirchhoff

Everette Kirchhoff, 78, of Overland Park, KS passed away January 16, 2014. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Monday, January 20, 2014 at McGilley & Hoge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf Ave. Overland Park, KS 66212. Burial with full military honors will be in Higginsville Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church.

Everette was born November 29, 1935 in Blackburn, MO., to Hugo and Freida Kirchhoff. Freida passed away shortly after giving birth and Everette was then adopted by Irene and Lorenz Bodenstab.

Everette retired from Sun Publications. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 7397 and American Legion Post 370. He was also a member of Atonement Lutheran Church. He loved to travel and enjoyed going on cruises.

Everette is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dorothy Cohoon, two brothers, Robert Bodenstab and Ray Bodenstab. He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Carol; two sisters, Vivian Fiene and Jerry Hartwig, both of Concordia, MO; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bodenstab, of Concordia, MO; Kathy Wills, Higginsville, MO; brothers-in-law, Bob Mueller and wife, Joy, of Grain Valley, MO; Larry Mueller and wife, Kay, of Blackburn, MO; and 15 nieces and nephews.
