James "Jimi" Martel

13 July, 198116 January, 2020

Though his smile is gone forever and his hand I cannot touch.

I still have so many memories of the one I loved so much.

His memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part.

God has him in his keeping, I have him in my heart.

Jimi was born and raised in Kansas City. Jimi passed in his home in Pittsburg, Kansas, where he made his home to be close to other friends and family. Jimi never did know a stranger. He was always ready to come the help for others before himself. From a very young age, Jimi’s love was for auto mechanics work outside such as landscaping.

His memory lives on in our thoughts and hearts.

Jimi is survived by his Daughters, Stasia and Catrina; his Brother, Christopher A. Martel; Nephew, Landon Martel; Niece, Alyssa Gibbs; Mother, Lynn Bassett; Father, Ernest Martel Jr. and Grandfather, Ernest Martel Sr.

He was proceeded in death by Maternal Grandparents, Jim and Darlene Hunter; and Paternal Grandmother, June Martel. He also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

Celebration of life services will be scheduled at a future date and time.
