Jane Ann Palmer

Jane Ann (Ronan) Palmer, 80, Prairie Village, KS, passed away July 10, 2011 at Sunrise of Leawood. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, July 14 at Church of St. Ann, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS, 66208. Visitation will precede the Mass at the church from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS, 66208, or to Church of St. Ann.

Jane was born June 11, 1931 in Kansas City, KS, to Ted and Nora Ronan. She grew up in Marceline, MO, and graduated from Northeast Missouri State Teacher’s College in Kirksville. Jane taught in Overland Park, KS, Colorado Springs, CO, and Detroit, MI. In 1956, she married Ralph James Palmer. They were parents to five children. She was a member of Church of St. Ann for 48 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister: Betty Cook. Jane is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ralph; children: Beth (Bob) Timmons, Mike (Roberta) Palmer; Sue (Tom) Moloney, Pat (Marti) Palmer, and Ann Palmer; and by 9 grandchildren.
