

Joseph Vincent Parisse, age 55, of Kansas City, KS, passed away November 22, 2012 at KU Medical Center from stage 4 lung cancer. A rosary will be prayed Monday, November 26 at 6:00 PM with a visitation to follow from 6:30-8:00 PM at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 27, 10:00 AM at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic, 7023 W. 71st Street, Overland Park, KS. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Joseph "Big Time" Parisse was born on March 19th, 1957, in Kansas City, MO. He was an incredibly loving father, a hard-working employee of the US Postal Service (of 20 years), an avid KC Chiefs and MU Tigers fan, a lover of comedy, and true joy to be around. It was impossible to walk away from a conversation with Joe without having shared a laugh, cracked a smile, or embraced for a big hug. Above all else, he never missed the opportunity to tell those he loved how precious they were and express his genuine love and affection.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Madeline Cocci Parisse and his niece, Angela Marie Acker.
He is survived by his adoring son and daughter, Josh Parisse (along with his wife Christina) and Kim McNally (and husband, Jon McNally) the love of his life, Pam Parisse, his father Eugene L. Parisse, his 12 loving siblings: Gene (Jan) Parisse, Helen (Joe) McHendry, Margie (Dave) Acker, Mary (Harold) Davis, Mike Parisse, Cathy (John) O'Connor, Rose Parisse, Clara (Jim) Beavers, Dan Parisse, Maria (Mark) Rezac, Mark Parisse, and Annette (John) VanDeBerghe, and 27 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
