Joyce Elaine (Thompson) Morales, age 76, passed away on February 6, 2018. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church of Humboldt, KS. The family would like to thank Cheryl and all the staff at Bonner Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Joyce was born February 13, 1941 at a farm in Allen County, KS to Alta May Hurford and Archie Lloyd Thompson. She was married to Edward Gonzales Morales for 53 years. She was preceded in death by Edward on November 6, 2016.
Joyce is survived by daughter, Michelle Thompson; son, Mark Morales, and three granddaughters, Jessie Thompson, Alex Thompson and Audra Morales; and grandson, Lukas Kroeker. She is also survived by one brother, Floyd Thompson.
Joyce worked at Sprint for 35 years, Walmart, Hobby Lobby and Leewards. She enjoyed her word search books, cross-stitching, and hosting family get togethers at the farm.
Joyce was greatly loved and will be missed dearly. We take comfort in knowing that she is back with her husband Eddie and… Elvis, her all-time favorite singer.
