Marvelee Converse, age 69, of Overland Park, KS, peacefully died in her sleep on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Marvelee was born on April 21, 1953 in Wichita, KS. Her parents were Gale and Maxine Roush. Marvelee grew up in Bartlesville, OK and graduated from Sooner High School in 1971. She graduated from Kansas State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and for 13 years was a 3rd grade teacher in Russellville, AR retiring in 2003. She fought a 23-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis and never gave up the fight.
Marvelee is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bill; and daughter, Amy Converse of Milton Keynes, England; sisters, Pam Klein of Overland Park, KS and Cathy Graves of La Quinta, CA; and brother, Matt Roush of Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Converse.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 26 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Ave., in Leawood, KS 66224. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 AM Friday at the Wesley Chapel, prior to the service.
