Phillip James Raab passed away on January 17, 2011, at Lakeview Care Center, Lenexa, KS. Phillip was born on May 22, 1921, in Freeburg, MO. Phillip was a WWII veteran, serving in the South Pacific.
Phillip was preceded in death by parents: George and Anna; sisters: Christina Raab, Margaret Raab, and Tillie Bax; and brother: John Raab. Phillip is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vernita Ann (Ewers) Raab; son: Leroy P. (Sharon) Raab, Gladstone, MO; daughter: Michelle A. Vering, Lenexa, KS; brother: Lawrence Raab, Independence, MO; grandchildren: Wesley (Asia) Raab, Kansas City, MO, Caleb, Devin, and Jesse Vering, Lenexa, KS; and one great grandson: Sheldon Raab.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 19, 2011,following the visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9150 Pflumm Road, Lenexa. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 10000 W. 75th St, # 231, Overland Park, KS, 66204-2241.
