

Wilfred Allen “Tom” Tomlin II, 93, of Prairie Village, KS passed away February 16, 2018 at Brookdale, surrounded by his family. His visitation will be 1-2 pm, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel followed by Military Graveside Service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, KCMO. Tom was born July 31, 1924 in KCMO. He was a Navy Veteran serving in WWII and Korea as a Gunners Mate, 2nd Class from 1943 to 1951. He was a retired Teamster from Fairmont Dairy and attended Nall Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and estate sales.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lola and Wilfred Allen Tomlin I; wife of 29 years, Catherine Burghout; son, Thomas Joseph; grandsons, Ricky Heady and Charles Henninger; granddaughter, Sally Henninger and brother, Robert Mullins.
He is survived by brother, Jerold “Jerry” Mullins; wife of 39 years, Roma; step-daughter, Susie Long; daughters, Katherine Jeanne Schmidt and Darleen Ann Henninger; sons, Michael Allen Tomlin and Wilfred Allen Tomlin III; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a step-granddaughter.
