Edward Joseph PROVENCHER IV

14 February, 198311 May, 2021

Edward Joseph Provencher IV passed away on May 11, 2021. Eddie was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1983. In 1984 he moved to Winter Park, FL, with his family, and then to Oviedo, FL in 1989, where he has resided since. Eddie graduated from Oviedo High School in 2001, then attended Seminole State College. He worked in the Building Materials Distribution industry for most of his working career. Most recently, he worked for DIV-PRO/Intech, Inc., a company owned by his father. His duties entailed IT, data entry, and sales assistance.

As a youth, Eddie participated in the Florida Soccer League, his team winning the league championship in 1989. He also participated in the Winter Springs Basketball League and the Magic Junior Basketball League. But Eddie’s true interest was cars. He enjoyed Grand Prix racing, especially the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring, which he saw live. His first car was a 2004 Mustang, and most recently a 2019 Dodge Challenger. Both cars were very special to him. St. Augustine was also very special to him. He had many fond memories of summer vacations there with his family and would frequently talk about those good times. Eddie is survived by his adoring family – father Edward Joseph Provencher III, mother Jill B. Provencher, sister Jessica Lynn Sword, brother-in-law Jesse A. Sword, and nephew Benjamin P. Sword, and many, many loving relatives.

Eddie will be remembered for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and his beautiful loving smile. Eddie is finally at peace after a life-long battle with asthma. He is breathing the sweet air of new life. He will be missed. At the request of the family, services will be private.

Donations may be made to the American Lung Association in Eddie’s memory.

Our deepest sympathies are with the entire family. Van and I moved next door to Ed and Jill when Eddie was 9 years old. Always soft spoken and extremely polite he never failed to wave or say hello. His love for cars was apparent at a very young age as he was always washing and waxing. He will truly be missed. May your memories keep your heart full.
