

Born on July 5, 1928, in Necochea, Argentina, Eugenio brought warmth, humor, and a deep love for the arts to everyone who knew him. He had a passion for wine, classical films, and the timeless tangos of Carlos Gardel. A gifted painter and singer, he was also known for his mischievous spirit and a playful knack for teasing young children.
Eugenio is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Alba Criseo Vermales; his son, Pedro Eugenio Vermales (Elizabeth); his daughter, Beatriz del Carmen Wood (Eric); and his grandchildren, Marcy Maria Salisbury (Darius), Veronica Helen Diamond (Travis), and Carmen Beatriz Petty (Joseph). He also leaves behind six cherished great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, followed by interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery, also in Front Royal. All are welcome.
