Robert Gene Murphy, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2016. Born in Wood County, WV, Mr. Murphy was the son of Claude and Julia Storey Murphy. He served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Murphy enjoyed gardening, lawn care and caring for his orange grove. He was passionate about his faith in God and loved to read the Bible. He was married to Lena Vaughn. Besides his parents, Mr. Murphy is preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Ann Madden, his brother William L. Murphy and his sister Patricia S. Maze. He is survived by his wife Lena, his daughter Tamela Jayne Murphy, his grandchildren Tarah Rene Madden and Tyler John Madden, and many dear friends. Friends may call at the Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, 501 East Mitchell Hammock Road, Oviedo, FL, Tuesday from 1-2pm with his funeral service immediately following. Interment will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
