To Jean Marie and the rest of the Mitchell clan. While I'm late in submitting this message, I'd like you to know that my prayers and thoughts were constantly with you during the recent passing of your mom. I know that some time has gone by and you have learned to cope with the grief. Her memories, especially the great ones will remain with u for the rest of your lives. Cherish them and love each other dearly for as we grow older and death becomes nearer we must recognize that love is the only thing that matters.

The life well lived is a marvelous thing!  I did not know Mrs. Mitchell well or see her often but vividly remember first meeting her nearly 35 years ago. The gifts that she and her husband have shared with all of us in the form of her family speak volumes. I give God thanks for sharing her life with us and for the beautiful Mitchell family.  May you continue to be companioned by grace.

After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we've shared with our loved ones who have passed. Grandma Mitchell, as she is affectionately known to my 2 children, was a very special person in our lives.  We met 25+ years ago when she visited my church.  We instantly bonded and she was became a surrogate grandma for the children as both maternal and paternal grandparents lived out of state and were seen infrequently.  We cherish the wonderful times we shared and these memories will help to sustain us.  We all missed her and her late husband when they relocated to Fla several years ago but we kept in touch periodically.  I last saw her in 6/14 while visiting the Orlando area  with my son and daughter-in-law. Grandma Mitchell lived a full life and was faithful in reading and studying the Bible and exemplifying her Christian virtues to all around her.  She will be greatly missed.  Rest in Peace Grandma.
