Lita & I received the terrible news...we know the tremendous feeling of loss & grief that you are suffering from your Dad's leaving. Without our faith in the resurrection of the Lord it would be unbearable in all the coming years.
But we are believers so we cry and bear and pray that in God's time we shall be together again.

Gnarled hands, Beautiful hands; hands that, in their youth, strummed a guitar to love songs sung to the women he adored.
Twisted hands, beautiful hands; hands that tenderly brought infants into this world; that preformed surgeries...meticulously sewing stitches, one at a time.
Gnarled hands, Beautiful hands; hands that clapped joyfully and a beautiful day or to the rhythm of a lovely old song.
Twisted hands, Beautiful hands; hands that held the hand of the women he loved in life...and in death.

Since Tony died, we have been flooded with so many pleasant memories of you Nena, and him. I especially remember your long courtship days in Vigan, your grand debut, your being Asuncionista, etc.  Tony courted you with meaningful glances and his guitar music and little love notes which amused us your younger siblings no end. I remember the serenades at night which did not sit will with Lola Baket because you were too young. Yet, your love for each other through the years grew stronger and remained steadfast and for 15 engaged years (am I correct?) you remained faithful to one another. Persistent he was and courtship extended to our house at Dian St. in Singalong and in Arellano Ave., his U.P. days and finally your ending up with each other in marriage when he finished his medical career.  We also fondly remember Tony as a very quiet and dignified person who loved music no end. When he had his private practice near Project 4, he would take lunch with us in Loyola quite often and we came to know him even better. His simple ways, his mild behavior and his straight forwardness endeared him more to us. He even delivered  Ramonchu into this world and is ninong to Raul!!
Alex and I join you in your mourning and indeed we lost a GREAT GUY and WITH GREATER PRINCIPLES! We will always remember him and all of you in our daily prayers and hope his great example will be faithfully followed by this generation and the next to come!!

We praise the Lord for Dr. Laurel's life, and his kind contribution to aliviate the pain our bodies endure thru the years.  He was afaithful, kind, soft spoken physician who help the community in Morgan Hill for years. His love for his beloved wife and children was an example to us, his quiet spirit rested on his personal faith in The Lord Jesus Christ, whom he love, thus his soul and spirit is with our God in heaven, joining the host of heavenly redeem believers.
