Ayden, there is never a day that goes by that you’re not on my mind. I miss you much. You have taught me so much in both life and death in how to be a better person. I hope you rest well, free from the pain that followed you in life. I hope you have everything you could ever want. I hope you’re safe and warm and wrapped in the embrace of an eternal rest. You deserve to rest in peace.

It’s been a few months now and there hasn’t been a day gone by that I haven’t thought about Ayden. I grow my beard out every month to try and honor him, and I cherish the sound of his laugh. He always knew how to be the perfect  friend for anyone who needed him, and that’s a real talent I wish I had. At least in my family none of our lives have been the same without him, and we’ll go on keeping his memory each and every day. Sending love. 

I knew Ayden as a student at Carmel River School. He would often come into the garden to hang out and talk about the plants and the animals and life in general. He was a wonderful and caring boy who looked you in the eye and spoke with sincerity and curiosity. My deepest condolences. He will be missed.

The first time I met Ayden was when he and Dylan were going to CMS. I looked at Dylan and said, “Ayden has a beard!” Dylan said,”Yes! Isn’t it magnificent?!”

Dylan felt so comfortable with you Ayden that he was as weird with you as he is at home and sometimes I felt sorry for you because I could hear him saying weird stuff to make you laugh but it was only because you have the best laugh! That was the goal! Sometimes I would think he’d gone too far or wasn’t funny because you were silent for a second but then I would hear you roar with laughter and it made me laugh too.

I love you Ayden Reed for the friendship and unfailing kindness you showed my son and how pursuing and honing your talents encouraged him to do the same but most of all I will cherish the sound of your laughter, the world seems less without it.






Ayden was a true talent, gentleman and loving gem. He is a shining star. 

Ayden was the kindest, most welcoming individual to Sophia at MT. He had an amazing intellect, caring connection to others and unique talent of bringing out the inner-confidence in others.

Thank you Ayden for looking out for Sophia. You will always and forever be in our heart with great fondness and love. 

We will continue to pay it forward, reaching out with acceptance and kindness to others in your honor. Even with the loss and grief, your shining brightness will drive us forward to make the world a more loving place.

I remember Ayden. I will always remember Ayden. I will remember his voice. I will remember his talent. I will remember when he grew that beard. But Mostly, I will remember his smile, and laughter. He shared them both so freely. He shared them with everyone, however it is how he shared them with my precious TJ that I will treasure forever. How he could draw TJ out from under what ever dark cloud had settled and brighten his days. How he gave of himself and made others feels included, special. He hugged me once or twice and I remember feeling lucky. I remember coming home one day to Ayden, TJ and sweet Brielle pig piled on my sofa wrapped in pink feathers. I laughed so hard. I loved that kid. I love him still. 

Ayden was incredible. He was one of the best friends I’ve ever had. He delighted us all with his talents and his humour, and he taught me more about history than any of my history teachers did. He got me through biology and he brought me and my friend Brielle even closer together. His laugh was infectious and knowing that you caused it was the best feeling. He was so very kind, he cared so much about people and the world. He loved cats, and had an entire Pinterest folder dedicated to just that entitled “dogs”. I loved him as a best friend, and I got to grow up next to him for so many years. It was such a privilege, having an angel light my life up as I grew, and to get the chance to be friends with the one and only Ayden Reed. If there’s one thing I know, it’s that Ayden will never be forgotten, not my me, and not by many. He had such a beautiful, gravitational personality that made you think he was the coolest person in the world. I’ll be grateful every day I had the chance to have him in my life. 

Ayden will always hold a special place in our hearts. Ben had a very special friendship with Ayden, spent a lot of time together, laughing, sharing the stage and just enjoying each other’s company. Michael was also fortunate to share the stage with Ayden. His talent was genuine, as was his heart.

I first met you when I got into Boys Choir in Carmel Middle School. My first impressions of you were very positive. I thought you were a very funny, loving, caring guy. The more time we spent in class together, the more closer we got. However, during the pandemic we didn’t get to interact with each other often, unfortunately. But during those times we interacted, you were fun to talk to and to hang out with. I will never forget those moments where you made me laugh to tears. I will never forget those moments I have spent with you during All State Choir. I will never forget those moments playing Jackbox with you. Seeing that you have moved on, I will never forget any of the memories we have made. I wish we were closer, but we already made enough memories to cherish for as long as I live. Rest easy, buddy. You will be missed by many.

I knew Ayden as a student at River.  I got to tutor him a couple times. He was such a nice kid, and I was so impressed by his singing voice.  My deepest condolences to your family.
