Dolores Carmen Sandoval

She will long be remembered as an angel on earth, as she touched many lives with her kindhearted soul. She volunteered at Natividad Medical Center. She became a CNA Home Health Aide in 1988 and worked for various companies. Her last position was with the YMCA as a Certified Administrative Assistant.

Her calling in life was her caring and compassion for her family, friends, patients, co-workers and customers.

Dolores dedicated her life to living and her faith in the Lord, to the very end with her courageous battle with cancer.

She was a graduate of the class of 1974 from Salinas High School. She also attended Heald Business College and received an Associate's Degree in Business Administration.

Her greatest accomplishment was her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. They were her pride and joy.

She was predeceased by her grandparents and her mother, Erlinda Valarde.

She is survived by her father Antonio Sandoval, step father Ruben Ruiz, brothers; Anthony Sandoval and Ruben Ruiz Jr, sisters; Debbie Garcia and Delinda Sandoval,son, Julian Rodriguez, daughter, Nina Rodrguez, grandchildren; Selina, Dina, Kristinana, Juanito, Valentino, Kaya, Isabella, Ashe, Niko and great grandchild, Sophia.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the special care for Dolores by Pacific Cancer Care; Dr. Hausdorff, his staff; Emily and Flor, VNA Hospice; Annie, Desire and Jane, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula Nursing Staff; Alisha, Jennelle and Lisa and Dr. Adelheid Ebenhoech, caregivers; Maria Fernandez, Bertha Barajas, Martha Mendez, Aime Jimenez, niece; Linda Garcia, granddaughters; Selina and Isabella.

A Celebration of Life for Dolores Carmen Sandoval will be held at Believers International Church on Monday, January 7th, 2019 at 11:30 AM. Location is 2400 Garden Road, Monterey, CA 93940. Per the family, they are making a small and kind request. Please do not attend her service wearing dark clothing. Dolores loved bright colors and all attendees will be honoring her memory with this act of kindness.
