Elizabeth Rand Skinner

December 23, 1939 - April 29, 2026

Elizabeth Rand Skinner (née Williams) of Pacific Grove, California, passed away peacefully in her home on April 29, 2026. Betsey was born on December 23, 1939, in New Jersey.

A proud alumna of Goucher College (class of 1961), she spent nearly all of her professional career as an employee of IBM, including serving as a Systems Engineering Manager. She enjoyed golf, travel, knitting, and hosting. Before her final years made it impossible, Betsey was never without a dog whose name had to begin with a B. Each canine companion received copious love and attention from her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirteen brief years, Hugh Corey Skinner Jr., and her parents, Rev. Fredrick Randall Williams and Rachel Esther (Perry) Williams. She is survived by her stepsons, David Skinner of Fayetteville, Georgia, and Matthew Skinner of Minneapolis; six grandchildren and one great grandson; her sister Virginia Williams Merwin; and two of her nieces, Rebecca Finken and Katherine Haas.
