Frederick Ray Lietzke passed peacefully on October 28, 2018 after many years of care in Monterey, CA. Prior to moving to the Monterey Bay Area, he lived in Oakland, CA with his beloved wife of 47 years, Chloe Lietzke, until her passing in 2012.
Fred loved the city of Oakland and retired from the Oakland Police Department in 1987 after 20 years of service. He enjoyed driving for work and for pleasure and had a second career as a big rig truck driver, based in Oakland, for many years.
Fred was a private, hardworking family man, honest, straightforward and loving of a good joke. He really enjoyed laughing and making people laugh.
Fred is survived by his daughters Liesa and Lori, his son-in-law David and his granddaughter Jazmine. We will miss him very much.
