I'm always thinking about  you and mom all the time! My heart has a hole in it that I feel can never be filled!  I fine my self quoting  things that you use to says  to us, that brings a smile to my face, but at the same time makes me sad that you have gone from my life. 

I know you  must be having a great time, and want us not to worry, because your in good hands and to be strong; seem like yesterday  that you left.  Kiss mom and the rest of the family and let them all know that they are  very much so missed!

We distributed your remains today along the beach between Lovers Point and Asilomar Beach; ashes to ashes, dust to dust. It is a beautiful day. Linda, Roger and I were joined by Letha, Martha, Jacqui, Madalyn, Laura and Ben. I know wherever you are, you are happy.

Mrs. Lucky, we love and miss you! You and Jaqui gave me a Teddy bear a couple of years ago for my birthday, and you said "I am the bear."  I sometimes look at the bear and ask, "What would Mrs. Lucky do?"

I rush home & left before the rest of the Lucky clan got there!!! The two days that I spent with you seem like you would be here forever, it almost seem like nothing was wrong!!! I can hear your words now saying it's alright we all have to go some time!!!  It was hard for me when mom was gone!!! AD( my little brother) held me together, it seem  like he was the oldest & I was the baby in the family!!! It's hard to be strong when the strongest are gone from your life!!! Everything happen for a reason you would say, but my heart has been tugged just a little too much; I know it will make me even stronger, but my heart is so very heavy now so many souls I had to say goodbye!!!  I always wanted to make you and mom proud of me so you could give your friends something to talk about, but most of all I thought you & mom would be here too see me make it big, but  in the flesh when it happen Yes its nice to say you & mom would be proud of me, but there's nothing that can replace looking in your eyes that a child would get from their parents that shows just how proud you really are of them!!! This is what I will long for when it happen!!!
I thank you for the love that you having given me for 56 years & making me the man that I'm today If it wasn't for you & daddy( grandfather) my mom wouldn't have had me and so the Lucky name branches out to the rest of your children, grandchildren & great grandkids!!! I love you & know that we will be reunited again soon!!! Meet you down at the beach in the limo

Gran.  I've been sitting here looking at this computer screen for 30 minutes.  I don't know what to say.  It's not like you're going to read this, though.  I've been reading the scriptures a lot, more than any other time, and I'm learning so much.  I never paid much attention in church, I kind of thought it was boring.  But these days, I'm filled with the word, and I understand more.  I understand that every day you are living, you are away from our Father in Heaven, and we all want to be at home.  I am confused though, because some people say that when you die, you're still aware of the physical world...but the bible says "for the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished".  So, wherever you are, just know that we all love and miss you, and if it's true that we will meet again, I count the days and the hours until I hear you say "mamasita!"  I love you, Gran.

To Auntie Lucky, the movie star we always thought you were - God be with you and your family.  I do thank you for all your love and caring words and thoughts that you always shared with us.  I thank you for being an inspiration to my mom Mae Raines throughout the years.  I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to say I love you and in return you said I love you too! My Aunt Helen, my mother's sister has passed away. She'd always say, "We don't come here to stay always." And "Don't cry over me when I'm gone cause it's alright." 
She's so right, and she is alright. I've only cried because I'll miss her so much.  I was with her the week before she passed. I watched her smile in her sleep. It was as if she was seeing something very pleasing or beautiful on the other side.  That was a comfort. She'd wake up and chat and say, "Thank you for coming to see about me."

So many people came to see about her. She was  the type of woman that books are written about, parades would be held for, audiences would give her lasting applause.  Her sayings, her smile, her memory will be are in our hearts forever.  Love you aunt Helen.
