Jacquie married her high school sweetheart, Don Strachan, in 1947. They went off to San Jose State then to Washington. This marriage ended in divorce and Jacquie moved back to California and married Harold Jones on June 6, 1959. Harold was in the military, so the family moved around finally returning to Pacific Grove in 1969.
Jacquie was an avid gardener who always had fresh flowers in her home. She was an amazing seamstress. Needlework became her passion as she created many works of art. Jacquie’s Christian faith was very important to her and she passed this on to her children and grandchildren.
Harold preceded Jacquie in death on April 9, 2010. She is survived by four children, eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
