My sweet Aunt Janet!   She was like a second mom to me because we used to live right next door when I was little.  She and my mom were each other's babysitters and us kids were always at one house or the other and back and forth as one family.  She could never get enough of family being around her.  Every time we talked to her on the phone she asked when we were going to come and see her.  She always accepted us as we were, bumps and all, and never expected us to be perfect, and in fact would just laugh off mistakes we made and try to help us get through it.  She was a great listener and never put you down, but would try to help you figure out how to solve problems both big and small.   I loved her sense of humor too.  She had the ability to just laugh at life's mistakes and not to take it to seriously and she was always on my side.   I'll always love you Aunt Janet, and I always have!

My sweet, kind, fun loving Grandma GG. It is extremely hard to put in words just how much this amazing woman meant to me. I was blessed to have spent 46 years with her. I would have to come visit her as often as I could to get my so called, “Grandma Fix”.  These visits would light up my heart and soul, kind of like the recharge of a battery. She was just that kind of person.  She always made me feel so loved. She was always in my corner cheering me on. Being around her just made me feel good. I will miss that.
 
She spoiled me rotten growing up! By filling the fridge with all my favorite foods, to taking me on adventures, like driving an RV around the United States, taking a cruise to Alaska and trips to Disneyland.

She knew just what to say to help you through the hard times, letting you know that everything would be alright. You would tell her about an embarrassing moment, usually something to do with my kids, and she would start laughing. She would say, “I’m not laughing at you, I promise, everything will be ok.” I would realize, she was right, it is funny and I shouldn’t take life so seriously.

I will never forget her and all the great things she has taught me. She wasn’t just a Grandma to me, but a mother, a friend and a sister as well. I know she is up in heaven looking over all of her loved ones.  One of her passions was working on the family history, I can just see her now, meeting them all and hearing about their life stories.

And a special thank you, to the angels that took such wonderful care of Grandma! Thank you with all my heart, John, Anthony, Maria, Victoria and Jocy. 


Janet Noakes was well-loved by all her family. As her niece, I was always at once amused by and in awe of her. She was one of my heroes and one of the finest  and favorite people I've known. Generous, intelligent, hard-working, and always ALWAYS full of encouragement and interest in others - especially her family.  Myself and my brothers and sisters always got as much of a kick out of Janet as she got out of us. Her favorite thing was to share stories about the cute things we did and said as kids. She never stopped laughing at us, with us, and she never stopped being loving, generous and encouraging with us.  She was always interested in us and our lives.  She will be *very* much missed.  

Wishing the Noakes family much love, peace and strength at this difficult time.  May Janet Noakes rest in comfort and eternal Peace.  She will forever live in the hearts of those who love her.
