

Michael Adam Gonet passed away on November 13, 2014 in Morgan Hill, California. He was born in Monterey, California to Sharon Tanous Gonet and Kazimierz Gonet. Michael attended Pacific Grove schools and graduated from Pacific Grove High School in 1985.
Michael played several sports in High school including basketball, where he was nicknamed the left-handed slammer and in football #23 Breakers. He went on to the University of Irvine and graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Sciences. Michael made the Dean’s List while attending the University of Irvine.
He then attended San Jose State and graduated in 1997 with a Master’s of Science degree in accounting. In 1997, he went to work for Ernest and Young and in 2000 to present, worked for Linear Technology Corporation.
Michael was an eighth generation member of a family dating back to the founding of Monterey with the Portola Expedition, 1770. Michael is directly related to many of the founding families of California.
Michael is survived by his mother, Sharron Barr; sister, Michele Rotter; nephews Paul Curatolo, David Rotter and niece Megan Rotter. Michael was a great uncle to Aliannah Curatolo. He is also survived by his father Kazimierz Gonet; aunts, Pamela Tanous and Deborah Scofield and first cousins, Robert Stovall, Steven Stovall and Amanda Artellan ; second cousin Tori Stovall and several other cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Alberta Tanous and Aunt, Sandra Stovall.
His favorite sports teams were the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Dodgers. He was an avid fan of both teams.
Michael left us all too soon and will be missed by his family. He will be remembered by all who knew him and loved him including his Boss, Don Zerio with Linear Tech. Corporation and co-workers. I am sure that Michael is up in Heaven organizing God’s programs…
Michael is safely home now – gone but never forgotten.
There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
