Sandra S. Manely

1940 ~ 2012

Monterey ~ Sandra Manely passed away on October 12, 2012 after a brave battle with cancer. Sandra was born on February 21, 1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she lived until she graduated Summa Cum Laude at the University of Minnesota and moved abroad to Germany. She traveled extensively and lived in many places before settling here on the Monterey Peninsula in 1974. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elfridea Lesher. Sandra is survived by daughter, Kirsten Riphenburg (Bernie) of Pacific Grove; son, Jeff Manely of Seaside; grandchildren, Nick Riphenburg, Jessica Riphenburg, Matthew Manely, Kaitlyn Manely; brother, Chuck (Ginger) Lesher of Minnesota as well as nieces and nephews. Sandra enjoyed traveling, reading, puzzles and playing Bunco with her friends. Spending time with her family brought her the most joy! Services will be held at 2p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at The Paul Mortuary, 390 Lighthouse Avenue, Pacific Grove and a celebration of life will follow at the home of her son, Jeff Manely.
