He was born in Russia but lived most of his life in Ukraine. He had a 45-year long career that included many years in positions with high level responsibility in senior leadership. He was a lead engineer of two industrial factories and the director of one of the bigger factories in Ukraine. Before retiring, he served as the regional director on energy conservation implementation.
The war in Ukraine brought Taras Ivanovich to United States, where he spent the last three years of his life reunited with his family. His heart always ached for his homeland, he dreamed of going back one day; however, he was grateful to God for having had the opportunity to live in the United States, which gave him a home away from home and where he made many friends from all over the world.
Taras Ivanovich passed away at the Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. His family wishes to express its sincerest gratitude to the caring nurses and nurse aids at Terrace West for the compassionate care he received in his final days.
Taras Ivanovich was a faithful, respectful man. His kindness, love, and generosity touched the lives of many. He was very knowledgeable and extremely interesting to talk to, but also was very charismatic and had a genuine sense of humor. Taras will be truly missed by his family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. He will forever live in our memories and hearts.
