Thomas "Tom" Favazza

Thomas "Tom" Favazza, age 72, of the Monterey Peninsula, California passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Tom passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Tom attended local schools, graduating from Monterey High in 1969.

He married the love of his life in 1971, Rosemary (Estrella), and together they had 3 daughters. Tom and his brother John were in business together as plastering contractors for 33 years.

When Tom wasn’t working, you could find him playing tennis at Chamisal, walking his dogs on Carmel Beach, fishing Monterey Bay, wine tasting with Rosemary, or tending his fruit trees and garden.

He is survived by his wife Rosemary, his three daughters, Elisa (Mike), Crista (Tina), Julie (Matt), ten grandchildren, his mother Josephine, and his brothers, Joel and John. Tom’s father Joseph preceded him in death in 2013.  He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  

A visitation for Tom will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Paul Mortuary Chapel, 390 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove, CA 93950. A rosary will occur Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Carmel Mission Basilica, 3080 Rio Rd., Carmel, CA 93923.
