Gilda was a loving, caring, kind-hearted woman. She was a woman of immense will and determination. She was an active woman and loved to stay busy wherever she was. Gilda married Bob, the love of her life on September 7, 1952 and remained married for nearly 70 years loving, cherished and fulfilling.
After Bob passed, she moved to the Albany area to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She loved her apartment and patio breakfasts, enjoying the sunshine, while admiring her garden and accepting many compliments from passersby. Special moments were taking walks independently to the pond to feed the ducks and sit quietly enjoying nature. She loved feeding the birds and watching them come to the feeder while she sat relaxing and enjoying some quiet moments of solitude. She also loved people. She possessed a genuine love for life and a profound affection for the people who filled it. Every room she entered became brighter through her warmth and unwavering kindness toward others.
Gilda had different passions and interests, yet truly none compared with the love she had for her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her family and her friends.
For this she will be missed. A woman of wisdom, strength and authority. We honor her.
