

Joan Ruth Cramer passed away on September 15, 2025. She is the loving and dedicated mother of three wonderful, devoted sons and daughters-in-law, Daryl (Heather), Kenneth (Amy), and Steven (Julie). She is also the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, Cali, Jordan, Cai, Liv, Cam, Zoe, Jack, Eli, and Henry. She is also survived by her loving sister, Nancy, brother-in-law, Jerry, and four nieces and nephews, Marla, Melissa, Dennis, and Bobby.
Joan was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 2, 1940. She met Roger Allen Cramer, her husband of over 50 years, in junior high school. After they were married in 1960, they created a beautiful life together in Cleveland, eventually splitting their time in Florida. In addition to raising their three sons, together they built a successful business, several stunning homes, learned to fly, sail, and boat, and traveled the world together. Her favorite trip being to Israel.
Joan was always involved in her community as an active member of her children's schools, her Temple, and in her later years in Florida, Planned Parenthood and other causes. She was an excellent athlete. A competitive tennis player, adored as captain of her doubles team for her leadership and camaraderie as well as her wicked forehand. Joan was an avid skier. On family trips to Holiday Valley and the Rocky Mountains, she did her best to keep up with the Cramer boys. She was also a keen bridge player and everyone’s favorite duplicate partner.
Joan was a role model for her family. She embodied what it means to be a supportive and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, never missing an opportunity to show up for those who she loved. Joan was known for her practicality, decision-making skills and engaging conversation. She was a confidante to many, the strong matriarch of her family, and someone admired in her community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
