Joel's memory is a blessing to me. He lives on in my heart.  Rest in peace dear Joel. 

I was overcome with grief when I heard about my cousin’s death. Joel, you were moving to a new home to accommodate your soon-to-be-born son, Mordekhai. I send my condolences and sympathies to family, friends, and patients who mourn the empty space on Earth you occupied. I will miss you, my dear cousin.

As a nurse I was fortunate to work with Dr. Passick both in the inpatient units and in Primary Care. Our team was  one of the first PACT team. I will always keep good memories of your unmatched dedication, your strong work ethics and respect for others. I would like to thank Dr. Passick again the last time for being one of the best provider , coworker, team member at the West Palm Beach VA.

I was shocked to hear when I heard the news that Dr. Passick passed away ,I still can' t get over it .He was very compassionate  
pleasant dedicated physician , always enjoyed working with him .we were working in the same office for the last few months in the same office ,always very helpful for everything ,he does know how to say say no to help any time .

I worked with Dr. Passick years ago and am saddened to hear of his passing. Dr. Passick will be remembered as a devoted doctor and one of the kindest and ethical human Beings I’ve known. He will be missed by many. 

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Joel. we first met in medical school in Albany over 35 years ago. He was such a gut neshama and my heart breaks. I am truly happy thatDivine Providence allowed myself and my cousin David and my son Daniel reconnected with him a few years back in Rabbi Ezagui's shul , Joel was a true lamed vavnik.

I am incredibly saddened to hear of this tragedy. He was a very sweet guy. I was blessed to get to know his mom  also before she passed away.

My condolences on the passing of Dr. Joel Passick.  He was  a  great  physician and colleague at the West Palm Beach VAMC. 

I had the privilege of meeting Joel many years ago in Tzfat at a Shabbat with Livnot U'Lehibanot. With his usual big smile, he joined our group of 20 somethings, sang, schmuzed and added his light to the gathering. 
It was always good to have Joel join us as he returned to Tzfat. He cared about the next generation of young Jews and his generosity helped many experience wonderful things in Tzfat. He was part of connecting them to their Jewish soul.
May his soul's light continue to shine on all of us and brighten our world.

I am very sad to lose such as wonderful , caring, professional Physician at our facility here in West Palm Beach. Dr. Passick  will be missed dearly as a friend, coworker, professional and as a  light of hope and kindness. 

Dr Passick was dedicated and compassionate to his veterans, their families and his fellow staff at VAWPB.  My deepest sympathy to his family. His legacy of outstanding care will be with us always.  

I first met Dr Passick over 23 years ago . He was working in MICU.   Always a smile and caring person.   I will miss seeing his smile. My prayers and love  to his family.

I was deployed with Dr. Passick May of 2020. It was five ladies and Dr. Passick and we were dub as "Charles Angels". Every morning we would greet him with "Good morning Charlie" and he would be smiling from ear to ear. He will be truly miss.

I only started working at West Palm Beach VA since January 2015 but it was a great privilege to have worked with you, Dr. Passick. You are one outstanding doctor who always took  extra time for your  patients, would stay until 6 in the morning when you should have left many hours before that. You would call and follow up on your patients and would come and see them to find out how they were. You always had a big smile for everyone. February 26 was the day we held a baby shower for you for the upcoming birth of your child and you were so pleased and happy for all the gifts we gave you and for the well wishes you got. Who would have thought that it was going to be the last time that we would see you? May you Rest In Peace and know that we will be praying for you and we will always remember you. Thank you for everything.

Words cannot express my extreme devastated  sadness  when I was surprised to learn  the untimely death of my friend.  He expired way too early when he was full of life.  There is nobody I have met in my entire life who was  so well intentioned and good-willed  than Dr. Joel Passick.  He never had a hateful or spiteful bone in his body.  I have known Joel as a fellow physician for over 20 years.   Joel was always kind, refreshing, so good hearted, and most of all the most compassionate and caring  physician I know.   He was the most thorough physician, covered every small detail with his patients that most would not do or overlook.  He did this because he wanted to.   He sacrificed his own personal life  staying  several hours beyond his shift ended to perform the best care he knew how to patients he was caring.   He did all this while strictly adhering to the Jewish traditions that is hard to do nowadays in this digital world,   I appreciate the  nights of the sabbath, he came to the ER where I was working to do the kiddish with me, always reminding me of my Jewish upbringing.  He was full of life, well traveled, highly educated, while striving to learn more.  Now he has a baby son soon to be born next month.  I’m hoping one day his son will read this message as well as others.   I want him to know there is no better man and father in the world he could have.  While he is no longer living, he is still alive in spirit, and you will have large shoes to fill in place of your father.   Joel, if your son is reading this at some time in the future, I want him to know he can contact me anytime, so that I can share the many pleasant memories I have of you.  Shalom Joel. Dr. Passick cared for my husband on his many stays at VA WPB. He really, deeply cared and was always available to answer my questions and concerns. My husband and Joel also connected through Chabad. Dr. Passick was such a kind soul.  I always think of him as one step away from being an angel.  You are going to be missed very much.  Love and support to his family.  Dr. Passick was a true gem.  

Working with Dr. Passick and knowing him was a blessing.  He was so patient and kind and taught me so much about dedication- his staying late and coming to work on a scheduled day off or coming in early to learn something new.  I was so excited for him to welcome his new son into this world and hear his stories about his plans. My heart breaks as I know he would have been the best father. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Dr Passick back in the early days of this VA. Not only was Dr Passick an excellent doctor, but he was a kind and compassionate doctor.  He is a great loss to the VA and will be sorely missed by all.

This is a physician whose reputation precedes him.  Although I never worked directly with Dr. Passick, those who did held him in the highest regard.  He clearly impacted others with the force of his impressive character.

Dr. Passick was a kind and generous man. After I mentioned in passing I wanted to try eating less meat, he was so kind to bring meals from his personal meal delivery service for me to try. If we had time to chat we would and he always had such kind and positive things to say. He was truly dedicated to helping as many patients as possible with the time he was given. I think of his kindness often and am deeply saddened as many are. He is truly missed, but left behind the most beautiful lesson of being kind and trying to help as much as possible when he was needed by so many. Thank you for being awesome Dr. Passick <3

I met Joel in 2007 when I started working for the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center.  We shared many shifts together as hospitalists. We shared the hard days of work when you think the shift would never end and the stress level was high. Through those moments is when you create a sense camaraderie and family that is difficult to describe.  Joel was a caring, hardworking colleague with a big heart. We will miss him dearly but we know he is with God now.

I had the privilege of knowing Dr. Passick professionally for 25 years at the VA Medical Center.  He was a bright man who was highly ethical and dedicated to the care of the veterans and one of the best professionals at this facility.  I'm deeply saddened to hear about this great loss.

Joel was such a sweet, gentle soul.  I loved his laughter.  He was a friend and co-worker.  He also was very compassionate and saw me in the Emergency Dept. on evening as a patient and was as concerned for me as if I had been his brother I believe.  This is very sad.  I will miss him very much.

I've had the priveledge of working with Dr Passick for many years.  He always had a good heart and cared for the patients very much.  He was a hard worker and would stay past his shift to make sure his work was done. 
He was so happy awaiting the birth of his son.  There's been such a heaviness at work knowing he's gone.
