

Joseph Friedman, 93, of Delray Beach, Florida passed away, Friday, October14, 2022. Joe is survived by Beatrice Blum, his very “significant other” of 30+ years, who he often referred to as his better half. He is also survived by his three sons, Russell, Kenneth and Larry, as well as by five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on 11:00 am on Friday, October 21 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Fairview, New Jersey, where he will be laid to rest next to Jeannette Friedman, his first wife and mother of his children.
Joe grew up in the in the Bronx and remained in New York area until he and Bea retired to Florida. He worked for many years as an electrician for the NYC Transit Authority. He was a devoted Brooklyn Dodger fan, until they deserted him for the west coast, and an avid NY Football Giants and NY Rangers fan. He loved to compete in softball, tennis, and bowling, as well as in bridge, pinochle and gin rummy. And, he loved to dance.
Joe was active in his Huntington Pointe community. He was a former president of the HP Tennis Club, a Men’s Club host, a Romeo and played in the Senior South Palm Softball League.
