

Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in West Palm Beach, FL. She was
predeceased by her late beloved husband Louis. They were
married for 63 wonderful years. Muriel was a strong and vivacious
woman who grew up in New York City, a daughter of the
late Louis and Ida Kroman. She was a proud graduate of the
second graduating class of Queens College majoring in music
and education and a charter member of the Iota Alpha Pi
sorority. She taught briefly in the NYC school system. Muriel
was a life member of Hadassah and had many friends. She
was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and aunt. She loved to read the New York
Times. She raised her family in Hollis Hills, NY and in Long
Beach, LI. In 1978 she moved to Boca Raton and Delray Beach
with her husband. The last five years she lived independently
at the Tradition of the Palm Beaches. Muriel is survived by her
sister Shirley Saperstein, sons, Rabbi Alan (Marilyn) Sherman,
Michael (Ruth) Sherman and Cantor Glenn Sherman; grandchildren,
Pamela (Spencer) Linden, Larry (Rachael) Sherman,
Joshua (Andrea) Sherman, Laura (Avi) Fisher, Jonathan
Sherman, Steven (Lisa) Sherman, Traci Sherman and fiancé
Brendon Cohen, Hannah Sherman, Amy Diem, Rena Diem,
Shira Diem and Ryan Schroeder; great-grandchildren, Gabby
Linden, Jacob and Julia Sherman, Lila Fisher, Joseph, Emma
and Jack Louis Sherman, Jenna, Alexa and Andrew Sherman,
Taeva Schroeder. Services on Thursday, February 4, 2016,
11:00AM at LI Morris Funeral Chapel, 9321 Memorial Park Rd,
West Palm Beach. A reception and shiva will be held at the
Tradition of the Palm Beaches, 4920 Loring Dr., West Palm
Beach beginning at 3:00PM on Thursday. Shiva will also be
held Friday 11:00AM to 3.00PM at The Lexington Club, Delray
Beach.
