

Robert (Bob) Leeds, 89, of Delray Beach, passed away peacefully at his home on December 15, 2016 surrounded by family. Bob was born in Wharton, New Jersey and lived in Dover, New Jersey. He was an Eagle Scout and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served as a medic. He was the owner of Gale Beauty Supply in Freeport, New York for over 40 years. He was a resident of East Meadow, New York for 40 years, moved to Florida 25 years ago. Bob is survived by the love of his life, wife Bobbe and their five children; Margery Talbot (and her husband Brendan), Michael Leeds (and his wife Karen), Robert Leeds, Cathy Leeds (and her s/o Joe), and Tina Miller (and her husband Jack); adoring grandchildren Lizzie Delgado, Brad Arbel, Joshua Hnot, Daniel Hnot, Samantha Kirshner, Jake Kirshner, Harrison Leeds and Matthew Leeds, and precious great-granddaughter Skylar Arbel. Bob was an outstanding athlete, playing basketball in High School and in the U.S. Navy. He also excelled at baseball, golf and bowling. Besides his long time love of playing sports, he also loved to watch any and all sports on TV. He was very well read and loved to read the newspaper, watch CNN and discuss current events and politics. He served on the board of the homeowners association where he lived for many years, where his business expertise and knowledge contributed to the beauty and well-being of that community. Bob's zest for life, his mega-watt smile, joke telling and eagerness to help others was an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed forever. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at 12:00 noon at I.J. Morris at Star of David Funeral Chapel, 9321 Memorial Park Road, West Palm Beach, Florida 33412.
